Christmas on Netflix
Christmas films on Netflix

At first I planned to give the article the following title “Best Christmas films on UK netlix (2014).” I connected to UK Netflix and started looking for the great Christmas films. But there was one problem, I felt as if they were simply not there. That is why I changed and connected to US Netflix instead and that is when the Christmas atmosphere started coming.

[stbpro id=”info”]Wondering how I change between UK and US Netflix within seconds? Want to do so yourself? Read the following article![/stbpro]

Keep on reading, and I will tell you about some films with a real Christmas spirit in them available on US Netflix. But, do not get so inspired about watching them that you forget the fact that Christmas is even more about spending time with your loved ones, so do not only watch TV (at least not alone), but find some loved ones and watch with them and enjoy quality time with friends and family.

Best Christmas films on US Netflix (2014)

Love Actually

Love ActuallyThis is of course the number one film for people who want to enjoy Christmas in front of the TV. This film has tons of humour, way to many famous actors taking part and it has simply turned into one of those legendary films that you simply have to watch before Christmas. In other words, a Christmas without Love Actually is not really a Christmas at all.

Thomas the Tank Engine

At US Netflix there are currently two Thomas the Tank Engine films were the story has to do with Christmas, meaning that this is ideal for little children who want to watch their favorite train travel around on the island of Sodor making a mess and solving the problems before Christmas. For sure a winner among children who want to watch a nice Christmas on Netflix.

Veggietales: Saint Nicholas

Veggietales ChristmasDo you want to know the true story about Santa Claus? Then this is the film, which is suitable both for children and adults. The vegetables in the famous Veggietales will tell you the story about joyful giving, which is what Christmas is all about. This isnt only fun, but you can in fact learn about the true story of Christmas and of course the true story about Santa Claus.

Christmas with the Kranks

Christmas with the KranksThis is not what I would claim to be the best Christmas film, but as a film about Christmas it will for sure do. In the film you can meet the Kranks who plan on skipping Christmas for a year. In their neighborhood this is not a news that they receive happily, and it turns into a “war” between the Kranks and everyone else, including the snow man Frosty. The film may give you a smile on your face, and it also shares some of the real values of Christmas… love and family.

While you were sleeping

Taking place around Christmas time this is a true romantic film, which has been a favorite of ladies for decades already. Meet Sandra Bullock who has an accident, and now she has to fall in love all over again, because her remembrance of what was before the accident has just gotten lost. A true romantic film played during Christmas time… this might be a Christmas winner for some!

The Muppet Christmas Carol

The Muppets are popular and they are funny. If you want to celebrate Christmas together with them you can do so watching this film lasting 85 minutes on US Netflix.

These are five films on Netflix that can be worth watching for Christmas. Unfortunately not all films can be found on Netflix, so if you have some way of watching these films I can warmly recommend them for Christmas as well….

Two more Christmas films, not on US Netflix

1. The Holiday

This is a personal favorite in which you can meet Jack Black, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz. An incredibly funny film with lots of fun, romance, good morale and of course Christmas atmosphere.

2. Four Christmases

This is not as good as the Holiday, but it will still work out as a good Christmas film. Meet Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn as they planned on escaping Christmas celebration, but with flights cancelled they need to visit their families who are spread out on four places, and this turns into a real “get-to-know-each-other-and-each-others-families-in-a-better-way-Christmas.” Not the easiest, but very funny!
