Chef is an American comedy drama movie which was released in 2014 and it was written and directed by Jon Favreau. The movie stars Jon Favreau as Carl Casper who is the professional Chef, Sofia Vergara as Inez who is the ex-wife of Carl, John Leguizamo as Martin, Scarlett Johansson as Molly, Oliver Platt as Ramsey Michel, who is the food critic and blogger, Robert Downey Jr. as Marvin and so on.
The movie Chef is about a professional chef, Carl Casper who is the head of Gauloise in Brentwood, California. One day Carl has the chance to prove his talent in cooking for everyone during the visit of a prestigious critic, Ramsey Michel. After he got turned down by Michel, Carl quits his job at the fancy restaurant. Carl has to figure out what to do next with his life so he decides to reconnect and team up with his ex-wife, Inez and his son in Miami. He asks them and his best friend to join him on a truck ride back to Los Angeles while they are selling Cubanos (a type of ham and cheese sandwich) during the journey.
The movie Chef generally got good reviews and feedbacks from the critics and it is considered a lovely comedy movie which is highly recommended for everyone. The critics highly praised the charming and loveable cast and funny script of the movie.
