Best thrillers on Indian Netflix

Gone Girl (2014)
This is a perfect thriller for those who want to sit stuck in front of the TV, curious to find out what will happen next. It is packed with interesting moves, and it is just so many interesting things happening in the movie, that you might want to see it all again as you finish it up. A perfect movie about a perfect crime! The movie is starring Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, and Neil Patrick Harris.
Birdbox (2018)
If you want a scary evening, Birdbox is the Netflix original movie that turned into a giant success after its Netflix release in December 2018. It was watched by more than 50,000,000 people within the first week (according to Netflix), and I have got to agree – it is an awesome, but scary, movie. Something is hovering the earth, and if you see it, you will end your own life. For that reason, people have to walk blindfolded, in order not to see whatever it is causing this to happen. Sandra Bullock is doing a great job in this movie, and you can not only watch this movie on Netflix in India, but in all other Netflix regions as well.
Angels and Demons (2009)
Have you read the popular Dan Brown books about Robert Langdon? If you haven’t, you don’t really need to, but you could at least give the movies a try. Angels and Demons is the title of the movie with Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon from 2009. The story will take you to the Vatican and to Rome, and it is a mixture of a thriller and an action movie, with lots of twists, interesting events, and some quite brutal killings. It is not for the faint of heart, but it is a movie that will keep you stuck to the screen for two hours, without a doubt!
Limitless (2011)
It took me a while to actually watch this movie, but once I watched it, I truly enjoyed it. And if I have read correctly, a second movie might come to cinemas worldwide in not so long. Bradley Cooper is playing the normal looser who suddenly gets hold of some pills that makes his brain work in a totally different way. Suddenly he can understand everything, and he can remember everything. But, such knowledge can be hard to contain, and it will also make you a potential threat to other people.
Romantic movies on Indian Netflix
Do you want to sit in front of the TV crying because something is so romantic, or maybe laugh and enjoy a romantic comedy? These are the movies for you to watch on Indian Netflix.
The Proposal (2009)
This might not be the best movie ever, but it is very funny and a perfect movie if you want to have a romantic evening in front of the TV together with someone you love. Here you will meet Ryan Reynolds playing the role as the secretary of the strict and unpolite Sandra Bullock. But, then the authorities want to expel Sandra Bullock from the country, and the only solution is for her to force Ryan Reynolds into a marriage… but, how will that work out?
We’re The Millers (2013)
This is another movie that might not actually be the best movie out there, but if you are in the mood for a comedy with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis, this might actually do the job. The movie has a couple of highlights, like the “teaching the boy how to kiss” scene in the middle of the movie. A cool movie about a group of people out on a trip to come together as a family (or something like that).
The Notebook (2004)
If you are a fan of romantic movies, you have seen The Notebook already. If you haven’t, now is the time to watch it. This is one of the most romantic movies ever, and it is the perfect movie to choose if you want your girlfriend (wife) to cry and get all those romantic feelings this evening, or if you just want to watch a story about everlasting love, lasting from childhood and all the way until death.
Leap Year (2009)
If I haven’t satisfied those of you looking for romantic movies on Indian Netflix yet, do not stop after watching The Notebook and The Proposal, but go ahead and watch Leap Year instead. This is a very romantic and funny movie about a girl going to Dublin in order to propose to her boyfriend on February 29th. But, something happens and she ends up in the middle of nowhere at a bar looking for someone that will help her get to Dublin. By a coincidence, that happens to be a handsome young man who irritates her a lot, but somehow, she is also attracted to him.
Cinderella (2015)
Do you consider the animated movies to be way to childish for you? Well, let’s move up a bit in the age group and watch the movie Cinderella from 2015 instead. This is a Disney movie that tells us the story of Cinderella, just not in an animated way, but with real life characters. Lily James is beautiful in her role as Cinderella, and Cate Blanchett isn’t bad in her role as well. The perfect movie for teenager girls and those who like a good romantic movie.

The Incredibles (2004)
This has got to be the best-animated movie made since the year 2000. I know, the follow-up movie, The Incredibles 2, is fantastic as well (and just as good as the first), but this was the original and it is an amazing movie. What makes it so great is that the story even catches the attention of the adults, making it an action animated movie suitable for everyone in the age group between 7 and 70. If you haven’t seen it yet, this is great value for your Netflix subscription.
Aladdin (1992)
If we first write about animated movies, we most for sure remember Aladdin. The original Disney movie from 1992 is a legendary movie, and it is in the same class as Lion King when it comes to quality and everything. This is a fantastic story with some songs that will stick on your mind for a couple of days after watching. One of the real Disney classics that you should watch and enjoy with someone a bit younger than you!
The Lion King (1994)
This is a true classic, and even though it is 25 years old, it is still a fantastic movie. And, it is a fact that you cannot find The Lion King on Netflix in many countries, meaning that those with access to Indian Netflix should feel privileged about their ability to watch The Lion King on Netflix. One of the best Disney movies ever, if not the best! If you combine this with Aladdin and The Incredibles, you have an amazing animated evening coming up!
Best action movies on Indian Netflix
Want to see lots of shooting and action? Or maybe a movie with lots of action, but not necessarily with all the shooting? Here you will find some of the best action/thriller/drama movies on Indian Netflix in 2019.
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
I resisted this movie for several years, and maybe I was lucky to do so. How come? When I finished the first movie, I immediately had access to the other two movies as well! This is an amazing story in and it is a movie that somehow creates a world that you will be sucked into in a few minutes. This is a total masterpiece, and you do not need to have any knowledge of the Tolkien books to be able to enjoy this.
Now You See Me (2013)
This is one of my favorite movies in the last decade. I have seen it at least 5 times, and I am just as caught up by it every time I decide to watch it. Here we follow a group of magicians who are in for something big, but we never get the real picture before it is revealed to us in the end. And along the way you get to witness fantastic magical tricks that you will have trouble understanding combined with awesome action and lots of humor!

Jack Reacher (2012)
If you are in the mood for action again, Tom Cruise in his role as Jack Reacher will give you that. Jack Reacher is something like a shadow that suddenly shows up and he is able to solve the hardest crimes that often seems to have an obvious solution when the opposite is true. There are two Jack Reacher movies with Tom Cruise available, and they are both available at Netflix in India.

Lion (2016)
Now, this might be more what you would expect to be on a list of the best movies on Netflix in India. This is the story of a boy that was left behind, and now he is doing his best to get out of the mess and create a new life. It is an Academy Awarded movie, and it is a great story for those who want to watch
Gravity (2013)
This is another Oscar awarded movie that people love a lot. I have got to be honest, if I only were to feature my favorite movies in this list, Gravity would not be on it. I was just extremely bored as I watched the movie in the cinema, but the guy sitting next to me (my friend) was enchanted and so enthusiastic about it, meaning that nobody would believe that we actually watched the same film in the cinema (based on our opinions about the film). If you like movies with beautiful scenery taking place out there in space, Gravity with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney might be what you are looking for.
Sully (2016)
Do you remember the plane that had to land on the Hudson River in New York? In this movie, you will meet Tom Hanks in the role as the captain who on a fantastic way managed to land the plan on the river. But, not everyone considered the captain to be a big hero, and the entire story was much more complicated than just cheering and clapping and happiness to see that the plane actually landed. This is based on a true story!
Superhero movies on Indian Netflix (Marvel)
Some people hate the superhero movies, but the world in general loves them. It can easily be seen as you look through the list of the highest grossing movies in 2018, a list topped by several super hero movies. There are lots of them on Netflix in India, and here are the highlights.
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
At first, I wasn’t a big fan of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, but then I somehow started to like them. They have a fantastic humor to them, and the characters are original and easy to love. If you are a fan of Marvel, you have probably seen Guardians of the Galaxy already, but if you haven’t, you have something to look forward to this evening on Netflix. There are two Guardians of the Galaxy movies, but only the first of them can be seen on Indian Netflix at the moment (but that is at least the right place to start).
Captain America. The First Avenger (2011)
It took me many years to watch the first movie in the Captain America series. Until I watched it, I didn’t really like Captain America, but after watching it, he suddenly turned into a much nicer guy in my eyes, and now I have turned into a fan. This is the first movie in the story of the Avengers, and it is a fantastic place to start your journey into the superhero universe of Marvel.
