The Brothers Grimm is an American fantasy adventure movie which was released in 2005. The movie was directed by Terry Gilliam and it was written by Ehren Kruger.
The film stars Matt Damon as Wilhelm ‘Will Grimm, Heath Ledger as Jakob ‘Jake’ Grimm, Peter Stormare as Mercurio Cavaldi, Monica Bellucci as the Mirror Queen, Lena Headey as Angelika and so on. The movie is about the brothers Grimm and their mysterious adventures. The Brothers Grimm takes place in the early 19th century in the French occupied Germany. Will and Jake Grimm earns their money by travelling from village to village to defeat all kind of supernatural beasts, witches and various creators or at least that is what everyone thinks about them, in reality they stage the different ghost, monster and all kind of attacks, but one day the brothers arrive to a mysterious village where they offer the people of the village to help to get rid off the evil spirits. They are not quite aware that the village is surrounded by a big enchanted forest where young girls of the village disappear. So this time the brothers Grimm have to deal with real black magic, real witches and real evil spirits the first time in their life but like in every tale they have a young girl, Angelika from the village who can help them solve the problems.
The movie got generally not too good reviews on the lacking storyline but at least it is full of beautiful sceneries and images.
