The Odd Life of Timothy Green is an American fantasy comedy drama which was released in 2012. The movie was directed by Peter Hedges and it was produced by Walt Disney Pictures. The movie stars CJ Adams as Timothy Green, Jennifer Garner as Cindy Green, Joel Edgerton as James Green, who is Cindy’s husband, Dienne Wiest as Ms. Crudstaff who is Cindy’s boss, Odeya Rush as Joni Jerome who is Timothy’s crush.
The film is about a married couple, Cindy and James Green who live in a happy marriage and they can not wait to have their own family but unfortunately they can not have their own child, so James encourages his wife, Cindy to make a list of the ideal child’s characteristics which they buried in a a wooden box in their garden. One day after a big thunderstorm a ten year old boy appears in their garden covered all in mud and claiming he is the son of Cindy and James Green. So after they found the smashed wooden box’s pieces all over the back yard and a large hole where they buried the box they realise the boy covered in mud is actually the child they were dreaming of. The Greens and the whole town of Stanleyville have to learn that sometimes what we think it is impossible can easily happen and an unexpected event can bring the greatest joy to someone’s life.
