World War Z is an American apocalyptic action film which was released in 2013 and it was directed by Marc Foster. The movie is based on a novel World War Z by Max Brooks. The main characters in the movie are Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane, Mireille Enos as Karin Lane, Gerry’s wife and the mother of their two children, Daniella Kertesz as an Israeli soldier known as Segen, James Badge Dale as Captain Speke and David Morse as a former CIA agent. The movie is a zombie apocalyptic film which starts with the a world widezombie outbreak in the area of the bigger metropolitans and the ones who get bitten by a zombie quickly become zombies as well. Gerry and his wife and their two kids manage to escape from the raising zombie attack in Philadelphia and they get evacuated from the city thanks to the special connections Gerry’s has. Gerry and his family are flown to an offshore U.S. Navy where the scientists trying to find the first case of the zombie outbreak in the world which they believe happened in South Korea. Gerry joins the team to explore more on the zombie outbreak and to find the solution for this problem before it is too late.
The World War Z is an average zombie movie with great effects but shallow story line and characters. The movie gives the audience smart and fast moving thrills combined with the solid performance of Brad Pitt. The movie generally got mixed and more negative than positive reviews.
