Designated Survivor is a brand new TV series from ABC featuring Kiefer Sutherland as the President of the United States. Can you and I watch Designated Survivor on Netflix?
Earlier this morning I watched the first episodes of Designated Survivor on Hulu. I really liked it and thought I should write an article about whether or not you can watch Designated Survivor on Netflix. Now, I had never thought in my craziest condition that Designated Survivor would be available on Netflix. But, I got the surprise of my life as I noticed that Designated Survivor actually can be found on Netflix already.
Normally Netflix waits for an entire season before episodes are added. I therefore thought Designated Survivor would turn available on Netflix in the autumn of 2017. But, something has changed. What has changed? Netflix is streaming Designated Survivor episode by episode. As a result you can watch new episodes of Designated Survivor on Netflix just a day after it has been originally aired on ABC. And since it is Netflix, you do not even have to watch the commercials! If you watch Designated Survivor on the ABC website you will have to watch commercials. If you watch it on Hulu you will have to watch it with commercials (unless you have a commercial free subscription). But, if you watch Designated Survivor on Netflix you can watch it commercial free!

I have not been able to test this 100%, but my feeling so far is that Designated Survivor is available in all Netflix regions. In other words, you do not even have to consider changing your region, as Designated Survivor is available in the region you are currently in. Isn’t that amazing? I am not sure how Netflix managed to fix this, but it will for sure help out make Designated President a popular TV series.

Designated Survivor is aired on ABC every Wednesday. If everything goes by the book then the new episodes will be made available on Netflix the day after it was originally aired. In other words you should be able to find the new episodes of Designated Survivor on Netflix on Thursdays (or Friday’s, depending on your time zone).
What is Designated Survivor about?
Maybe Kiefer Sutherland had enough of being Jack Bauer saving the President of the USA? That is why he decided to play the President instead? In Designated Survivor he is a congress member hidden away in case of a terrorist attack. And when the terrorist attack takes place he as the sole survivor needs to step into the place as President of the United States.
As you watch the pilot episode of Designated Survivor you will get a good grip on the story, and I can warmly recommend it. I already look forward to the coming episodes! After the first episode Designated Survivor has an 8.3/10 score on iMDB. That might change as more scores will be added in the coming weeks, but it seems to have received great critics almost everywhere.
