Elias: The Little Rescue Boat is a children’s book which was published in Norway in 1999. After the book was released it was adapted into two animation movies and a television show. Now it has taken a big step towards becoming a world celebrity as Elias has just been made available on Netflix in the United States, in the UK and in lots of other Netflix nations.
The main character of the story is Elias. Elias is a small rescue boat that lives in a unique world of interesting creatures such as the deep sea fishing boat called Trawler who only cares about money, the Singing Boathouses who comment on everything each day, the rescue helicopter Helinor and the big lighthouse Blinky. Elias starts all his journey in the charming and peaceful village of Cozy Cove.
Through the journeys of Elias he proves himself trustworthy and brave as he saved the life of other boats.
Elias: The Little Rescue Boat shows boats, ships, cars and lighthouses like living individuals and no human appears in the whole television series.
