I have got to be honest, I haven’t seen the movie myself, and the description referred to in the introduction didn’t really make me more interesting. I kind of feel as if this is a bit of a boring movie with lots of conversations without much happening, and thus I never really felt like watching it, and whenever someone came up with the idea of watching it in cinema, I always came up with another idea instead.

Book Club currently has a 6,1/10 rating on IMDb. That isn’t a good score, but a very average score. The movie features Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen, Andy Garcia, Craig T. Nelson, Richard Dreyfuss, Alicia Silverstone, and lots of other famous actors, so this is a real celebrity movie. But, that doesn’t necessarily make it a fantastic movie.
