La La Land is now on Netflix

The big winner at the Academy Awards 2017, La La Land, can now be streamed on Netflix. Would you like to know how and where?

La La Land Netflix

A couple of months ago, I wrote an article titled: When will La La Land come to Netflix? I did not have the answer back then, but my original guess was that it would arrive on Canadian Netflix first. Let me say it at once; I was wrong. Just like The Circle (a movie with Tom Hanks and Emma Watson), it did not come to Canadian Netflix first, nor to US Netflix.

Where to stream La La Land on Netflix?

La La Land on NetflixIf you would like to stream La La Land on Netflix, you better head to Netflix in the UK. As a consequence, you need to either reside in England or virtually reside in England to stream La La Land on Netflix. Moving to England to stream La La Land on Netflix sounds like a costly way to enjoy the movie, but virtually residing in England is much easier.

Here in my Netflix blog I have detailed descriptions on how to get access to UK Netflix, so I recommend that you read that article, follow the instructions, and in less than 10 minutes you should be ready to stream La La Land on Netflix.

If you follow those instructions, you will not only be able to stream La La Land, but you can also stream the seventh season of Suits, The Circle and lots of other goodies.

Are you going to watch La La Land on Netflix?

I am not planning to stream La La Land on Netflix myself, for two reasons.

  1. I have already seen La La Land (before its arrival to Netflix).
  2. I did not enjoy La La Land. In fact, I was very bored watching La La Land.

So, I am not going to watch La La Land on Netflix, but that doesn’t mean that you should skip it as well. This is a legendary movie because of all the Oscar statues it won, so you do not want to miss out on the masterpiece. You might end up like me (not enjoying the movie), but you can at least tell your grandchildren in some years from now, that you watched the movie!

When will La La Land come to Netflix

Watch La La Land on NetflixLa La Land has just been released on DVD and Blu-Ray in the United States. When will La La Land come to Netflix?

It is impossible to predict when a movie will come to Netflix, but if you compare it with other similar movies, then my first guess would be around July 2017. Last year Mad Max: Fury Road and Spotlight were among the big winners during the Academy Awards, and both these movies were made available during the summer of 2016. Based on that my guess is that La La Land will come to Netflix sometime this summer, but that is for sure only true about a few regions.

My first guess is that La La Land will first be made available on Canadian Netflix, as that is the region getting the biggest blockbusters fastest of all regions. That was true about both Mad Max: Fury Road and about Spotlight, so why shouldn’t it be true about La La Land.

There are however a few exceptions when brilliant movies are made available on US Netflix first, something that was true about Finding Dory, the brand new Pixar movie.

Is it worth waiting for La La Land?

If you are a big fan of Ryan Gssling and Emma Stone, then the answer is probably yes. I am quite a big fan of both actors, but I have to be honest and say that La La Land was incredibly boring. It is a long time since I was so bored watching a movie, and the incredible truth is that I did not manage to finish the movie. That is almost impossible, considering that I feel like Sheldon Cooper who has to finish whatever I start.

There is however one more example of a movie I did not manage to finish recently. Guess what, Ryan Gosling was playing in that movie as well, and it was The Nice Guys.

Now maybe you completely disagree with me, and that is very fine. But, if you feel like doing so, write a comment and tell me why I am so wrong!
