Bodyguard is the name of a brand new Netflix series, created by BBC, but presented as a Netflix original series everywhere else in the world (outside the UK).
I am a big fan of BBC series, and the series Cuckoo is another BBC series that is presented worldwide as a Netflix original series. I quickly watched Bodyguard as it was released on Netflix, and I haven’t regretted it at all. If you visit Rotten Tomatoes, you can see that the series currently has a 98% score. That might be a bit too high, but still – it is a great treat, and if you like a combination of politics, action, and British series, this might be the best you will get on Netflix in 2018.
In Bodyguard, you will meet Richard Madden in the role of David Budd. He becomes the big hero in the first episode and is set to protect the very debated politician Julia Montague (played by Keeley Hawes) after this. It isn’t an easy job, and the fact that most people dislike the woman strongly doesn’t make it easier for David Budd.
Watch Bodyguard (2018) on Netflix
You can watch Bodyguard on Netflix all across the globe, with a few exceptions, and one of them is in the United Kingdom. The reason is simple – this is BBC territory, and Bodyguard can be streamed on BBC and not on Netflix. So, if you live in the UK, why not watch it on BBC instead? If you cannot find it there, or simply want to stream it on Netflix instead, change your Netflix region so that you get access to American Netflix, and you can watch it there right away instead.
It is absolutely worth to watch Bodyguard. I have read quite some posts about the series on Reddit, and lots of people wrote that they ended up watching the entire first season at once (binge-watching). They simply couldn’t stop before they had seen it all.
Have you seen Bodyguard on Netflix? How did you like it? I would love to hear your thoughts!
